SPEND ONE HOUR TO SHOW YOUR LOVED ONES YOU CARE

Personal Connections

STAY CONNECTED TO

FRIENDS & FAMILY

Organize a virtual dinner with your friends or family, use Netflix Party to share a laugh, video chat with your relatives, or offer to teach older family or friends how to stay connected on social media and technology. Social distancing makes it all the more important to use technology to show your family and friends that you are thinking about them. A simple text or call can make someone's day.

OFFER MENTAL HEALTH

SUPPORT

The constant stream of distressing news and separation from normalcy and loved ones can be emotionally draining. Everyone needs support during this time. You can make a personalized Spotify playlist, share a nice video, or just tell someone that you are thinking of them. This situation may particularly affect those with mental illnesses. MAKE CARE PACKAGES

FOR FRIENDS & FAMILY

Another way to show your support for friends and family is to send them a care package to entertain them while social distancing. You can send snacks, a handwritten note, an arts project, or a book. Make sure that you properly sanitize anything that you send and/or open.

PROVIDE CHILDCARE

As more schools are closing, providing childcare is critical. If you are able, help out someone you know who may be working from home or who has an essential job where they have to leave their house. Even helping someone for one hour so that they can take a break can provide a much-needed mental and physical break. If you or the parents are uncomfortable providing childcare in person, you could volunteer to video chat with their kids or do a virtual activity.
